Channels on Stationhead
How do channels work on Stationhead?
Channels are a 24/7 listening experience that features stations within a given fan group so the streaming never stops.
Request a Channel for your fandom (linked here). In order for a fandom to have a Channel they need multiple active stations streaming a specific artist. The more requests the merrier!
Channels syndicate fan stations dedicated to an artist for 24/7, at random. If you want to be added to the syndication list for a pre-existing Channel, please submit your station here.
Currently, a station can only be syndicated on one Channel at a time.
After a station playing music by an artist that has a Channel goes offline, a pop-up will appear, asking if you would like to continue streaming on the Channel. If you prefer not to move to the next live station, you can simply decline it.
Syndication happens at random. Channels don’t have a primary station, as they're meant to be inclusive.
To activate the All Access-only chat, swipe left to open the comments section, then tap the three dots in the top right corner of your screen. From there, tap the 'All Access only' button.
Members are the total number of people who have tuned into the Channel.
You can find the current number of listeners tuned in to live stations under the 'Online' section.

Yes. Through Stationhead's patented technology, you are able to stream music directly from your Apple Music and Spotify accounts without any risk of copyright infringement.
The iOS and Web versions of Stationhead stream from both Apple Music and Spotify. Currently, when listening on Android devices, you can only link your Spotify account to hear music.
Yes. As all music streams come directly from your Apple Music and Spotify accounts, every play counts as a stream. For every listener you have, you generate a stream. For example, if you have 100 listeners, you have generated 100 streams for that track.
No. You will need Spotify Premium or an Apple Music subscription to listen and play music. Apple Music and Spotify both offer free trials, so check what is available in your area.
Select “Add Music” on your station profile to search for tracks individually or select your streaming service library to add entire playlists. Just tap the red “+” to add any tracks to your Station.

Currently, the maximum number of songs you can add from a playlist is 99.
Stationhead connects directly to Spotify's servers to facilitate streaming, so it's expected that you won't see your streams show up in your Spotify app's history. Not to worry, as long as you can hear the music playing in Stationhead, your streams are counting!
Currently, you can use your premium Spotify or Apple Music accounts to connect to Stationhead. However, we are looking to add other streaming options in the future.
